A week-by-week MDCAT study plan

Work backwards from 16 August 2026. In the first block of weeks, cover the syllabus chapter by chapter, doing one or two chapters a day and practising MCQs on each before moving on, leading with Biology and Chemistry. In the middle block, shift to past papers and mixed topic tests, reviewing every wrong answer. In the final block, take full-length timed tests, tighten weak chapters, and taper into calm revision before exam day.

Keep older chapters warm with a weekly mixed test, so nothing you learned early slips away.

Your daily MDCAT routine

Lead with your hardest subject while you are fresh. Take one or two chapters a day with immediate MCQ practice, slot in short English and Logical Reasoning sessions, and end the day by reviewing what you got wrong. How to adjust the plan to your time left

If you have fewer weeks, keep the same order but compress each block and focus harder on high-weightage Biology and Chemistry chapters. If you have more time, add a second pass of weak chapters and extra full tests. Whatever your timeline, do not drop the daily MCQ practice, since that is what moves the score.

A subject-by-subject MDCAT strategy

Use the weightage to decide where your hours go. Biology is the biggest block at 81 of the 180 marks, so give it your most daily time and practise cell biology, biomolecules, enzymes, bioenergetics, genetics, human physiology and biotechnology in the Biology Question Bank until your accuracy is high. Chemistry is next at 45 marks, so balance concept and calculation in the Chemistry Question Bank. Physics carries 36 marks and is very winnable once you drill formulas and numericals in the Physics Question Bank. English and Logical Reasoning are only 9 marks each, but they are easy, fast marks, so secure them with short sessions in English and Logical Reasoning.
